Need help people! I Bought a 68 GT/CS May of 2009. My boyfriend volunteered to show my the ropes and our plan was to re-build her together so I could learn , have done a few things but the relationship between my boyfriend and I has since then ended:undecided. I think I can hold my own in the car-world, im not afraid to get dirty but I by NO means have the know-how to restore her myself. So far this is what has been done... need some advice as to what to do next.
Motor pulled from car - took it to an engine shop and had it dipped, balanced, and honed the bore is 40 over. (forgive me if my terminology is horrible, this is a whole new language for me)

Im not rich, so whatever I do is going to have to be a bits at a time.
Thanks!!

Where are you located? We have site members all over the country. Photos would help, as well as description of condition (rust issues, interior, etc.)

...Just keep it fun and ask 1,2,or 3 questions at a time as the process unfolds. 'Unlimited support and generosity for you here! Don't worry about fitting into the "car world" per se, rather keep an image of restoring, driving and enjoying your magnificent car :) Neil is right on too!

Ill get some pics up in my gallery soon. She has a way to go for sure. Original color was red but someone has since then taken a rattle can of blue to it. Hood and front quarter panels are rusted and will need to be replaced; but the rest of the body seems to be relatively rust free, and it was running before we took it apart. Had the heads checked out and they are in good shape.

Also, bear in mind one of our members, Ron (clubpro) can get you good prices on parts as you need them. First class guy, first class service- and he's in CA also.
