Appears to be Los Angeles/Orange County car for entire life. We purchased in late February 2006 from a friend of a friend who had parked it for the last 2-3 years. His wife used it for her daily driver for a couple of years before that, but got tired of people stopping her and asking if she wanted to sell it. We had car towed to shop for new battery, brakes, etc. to get in running condition. When we went to replace a couple of burnt out brake lights, we found the sockets so rusted & corroded we couldn’t get new lights in, so we are in process now of replacing with LED light kit. Number of owners is unknown – we are the 4th that we know of. Odometer read 68,000 miles, but we don’t know if that means 168,000 or 268,000. Buttercup has led a hard life – passenger door & rear quarter panel have been replaced, fog lights have been replaced with non-standard CS lights and back fiberglass panel has been repaired, shows some signs of bubbles under vinyl top, etc. So now the fun of restoration begins!
