Neil Hoppe, a great friend and mentor to many of us, passed last night. He had been battling a number of health issues and he kept fighting until the end. At this point that's all I know. Will update this thread when I find out about funeral arrangements.

Where are the block drains? Are they the treaded plugs at the rear of the engine on the driver side, and front of the engine on the passenger side?

Interesting. It looks like Ford made a few changes to the block in ‘66.

Here's another issue I found yesterday (not my car). It looks like the there is enough of the manifold under the bolt to work. What do you think?

There isn’t a plug in it. Just a threaded boss.

Jon, How does the reproduction hood fit?

It may be corrosion or wear on the contacts. Can you remove the bulbs and clean the nubs on the pigtails? Are they worn down?

Do any of you have a GPS tracking system for your cars in case they are stolen? Since road trip season is around the corner I'm thinking about getting one, but have no idea where to start. From what I've read AirTags won't work unless the thief is part of the tracking network. Thanks

I saw the first photo and thought you cut all the way through your hood from the top with that hole saw!!! It helps to read the narrative.
