That is true they changed in 69-70. I am not sure if the rest of the hinge is correct for 69-70.

Those are service replacement and would not be correct concours because the rivets are dimpled not the correct cross hatch. Sill good replacements for a driver car.

Sand or grind off the paint, then use the stripper only on the letters to clean out the paint. Then lightly repaint.

I have never had one come off. Are you buying the kit to put them on? It is really important to clean both surfaces well.

There is a pattern in the GT/CS book. It is a very simple matter to cut it to that contour. It gives you more flexibility with the length. Note is very easy to stretch them when applying them.

National Parts Depot has them. Part #16A224-5R Is reflective # 16A224-5 is non reflective black.

I have a different column that has a working turn switch that I use to test with. It is a lot of work to change the switch to only find it was a different issue. I suspect it is a ground issue as the turn circuit has nothing to do with the radio.

In today's market it is challenging to just to get the cost of the restoration back at the sale price.
