My wife of all people is the one that has kept me from repainting the car. Im a perfectionist and the little imperfections in the paint drive me crazy. For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

From the discussion with Mr. Teets their were quite a few CS's and HCS's made with 6 cylinders. Most were converted to V8's over the years. Mine is the last known HCS with it's original 6. As to an actual number produced Marti auto may know. I've tried to find out for myself. The car was...

For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

I will agree she is the most reliable car I've owned. Two taps of the gas pedal and she banks over every spring. As you can see from my gallery the motor has been gone thru. I found the head and carburator unusual the carburator is a Holley 1941 dual float not the Autolite 1100 POS and the...

For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

I have (according to Mr. Bob Teets) the last 1968 T code HCS. It has 46k original miles on the clock. A 3 speed manual. Mainly original- new dash pad, dash chrome, and fresh paint in the engine compartment. Some slight bubbling in door corners and one quarter. Not bad for a survivor, I have pics...

    HCS carb question

I have two cars one is my 68 HCS and the other a 68 Ranchero bolth with I6's. Now most of the Mustangs I've seen with either the 170 or the 200 motors have 1100 1v carbs I think their Carters. On my HCS I have Holley 1v I think it's a 1940 model or 1941. I've also noticed the manifold intake...

Where has my car been, and who with ?

Has anyone ever done a title search? I would like to know who owned my car in the past. See if I could find them, and find any history or storys about the car. There are a couple of questions I would really like to know the answers to. So if anyone knows how to do a search let us know.

    CS and HCS T-shirts

Thumbs up to the guys who make the shirts. It was my fathers day gift and there was a small mix up. When I called the company I spoke to a very nice lady and she fixed the problem right away. I would recomend them to anyone who wants a shirt to show their pride in their car. Good job guys. Randall

    Steering grind problem

Yes and no, I really need to put a picture up of what it looks like. If you look under the hood where the shaft comes thru the firewall there are two sleeve like collars and the stearing shaft in the center. The shaft should be right in the middle of the collars. Mine sits low and rubs inner...

    Steering grind problem

I put a new rag joint in. But the problem was there before. I was hoping there was some sort of adjustment under the dash, the steering box or to the plate at the firewall. Steering itself is not affected, it's just anoining to hear that crunchy sound. I know someone has the answer out there...

    Steering grind problem

As I was restoring my engine I noticed that my steering shaft sat kinda low in the collar that comes thru the firewall. It sits so low it rubs the bottom and makes a grinding noise. Anyone know if there is a way to adjust the height or angle of the steering shaft or columb? Or can you adjust the...
