    New Shop Space

The outside of the shop is done, except for putting in grass the keep the dirt from blowing away. I'm still working on the interior, putting in the stairs to the loft area and then organizing everything. Since this thread started out as a "lift" thread, here's a pic of the side of the shop that...

For Sale 1968 J code GT/CS in Dallas (project)

    He implies it's a "C" code, but with a numbers matching 302. It's probably a 302 block but with 289 internals. Steve

    1968 GT/CS Recognition Guide

I have the three book set that I offered last year (before we moved) for $300. I've been unpacking and still have the set if you're interested. Shipping shouldn't be that much extra, depending on where you're located. Steve

    San Jose Plant story

Will do. It would be a good opportunity to take lots of pictures for reference. Steve

    San Jose Plant story

Yes, still have those three. I haven't bought anything new because I haven't had anywhere to put anything until I get the shop finished. I really wanted to have the Boss restored in time for the Boss nationals this year because it's the 50th anniversary, but I haven't even been able to get it...

    San Jose Plant story

Because I don't live in SoCal, and have never been there, I thought it was interesting. Steve

    San Jose Plant story

I got this from a Fairlane group I belong to and thought I'd share. https://performance.ford.com/enthusiasts/newsroom/2021/03/san-jose-ford-plant-history.html Steve

    . Triple "B's" Garage

Once I can get everything unpacked and organized, I'll get it going your way. Hopefully not more than another month, but there's no great rush anyway. Steve

    . Triple "B's" Garage

Rob, the idle mixture screws in my 4300D corroded in place and the heads stripped off at some time in the past. I need to bring that throttle plate to you to work your magic on one of these days. Steve

    New Shop Space

Thanks Marty. I used a roll on sealer as well, called Traz 25. It has a slight sheen at an angle. Unfortunately, the sheet rock guys had something hanging off their scaffolding apparently, and I have light scratch marks all over the floor, that are just deep enough that it went past the sealer...

    1968 Door lock dilemma

And the offset is reversed, so the trunk key won't fit in the ignition or doors. On other Ford cars with locking glove boxes, the lock is keyed the same as the trunk.

Yep, just water. I didn't realize it looked good until I took the picture and saw it from that perspective. Steve

    New Shop Space

I thought I'd resurrect an old thread. We moved into our new house last June. The contractor for our shop was taking his time (14 months from foundation to siding) so I fired him and took over contracting myself. I still need roll up doors (coming in 3 weeks) and finish the inside a little, but...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS in Sacramento CA

That would be one of Tim's cars.

For Sale Highland Green GT/CS in Vancouver

Once you say "rust restoration", the price goes down the toilet as far as I'm concerned. Body work is expensive, and no one wants to do the old cars anymore.

For Sale Highland Green C-code Project in Idaho

Way overpriced for the apparent condition. He should have spent more time describing the car and less time ranting. Steve

    . New Tremec 5-speed

I've really been thinking about something like that when I restore my Boss, because of the 3.91 rear end. Thanks Arlie. Steve

For Sale Red GT/CS J-Code Survivor (Loaded)

No AM/FM Stereo or convenience group, but still, lots of nice options. Did he say how many miles were on it? Steve

For Sale The Worst Clone I Have Ever Seen

To me it looks like an $8K coupe with $500 dollars worth of aftermarket parts on it. For some reason, to me, the wheels and tires make the thing look hideous in the side shots. Steve

1968 Trouble shooting brakes & booster

My understanding of the distribution block, and someone can correct me if they want, is that if you have a failure in either the front or rear brake system, the piston moves to block that side so you can maintain braking pressure in the other side. Once the failure is repaired, and you are ready...
