Had to change my answer on the paint dabs :-) I thought about it a bit and realize my first answer was prob not correct.

I believe the stamping "ambres" signifies the inspectors last name that did the qa/qc of the paint work (my 67 had "markal" ) And yes the dabs are supposed to be there.... at least on 69's and up (all I've ever seen them on) my car (s) only had one signifying dab and it was silver on the eyelet...

Haha thats pretty funny Mike. I think that is Romanian, which I am not to great with translation, but I believe "fart" in context through their language, means "hurricane" but I could be wrong, either way funny stuff

I thought that the round "eye" and "square eye" are both considered correct???.... I made sure to ask Mr. Teets before spending the money on my square sight lens ones so I am really hoping they're correct haha....

Dont know if it helps, but, my 67 GTA had the two tie downs that were angeled at the ends whereas my cal (single exhaust car "from factory") has the tie downs that go straight down with no angle's

Good info to know Marty. Like I said, I know my car didnt come with the dual exhaust, but I personally like the rolled tip duals and valance better. It just makes the back end cleaner. I know I will ultimately loose points for such, but, nonetheless worth it imo

That's just it, It's so hard to establish full proof fact with any of these cars. Sure numbers in a book says one thing but the car, and its provinance (marti report) can suggest otherwise. Anything is possible with these damn cars haha
