So I have some surface rust on my fuel tank that's really starting to irritate me. The tank is only 3 or 4 years old, so I don't think I should replace it. Anyone painting their tank? What paint are you using? Thanks for input!

Thanks, Neil! I think mine is original, and has no chain. When I started looking around I saw some with chains and I didn't even know that existed. Can you educate me on what did have the chain? I know mine has left a slight mark on the bumper, so the chain seems like a good idea.

Would the original gas cap have had the tether chain or no? Thinking about buying an NOS as mine is looking a little old.

It's nice to look at, but at that price you can get a really nice real GT/CS or a convertible. Heck, if you settle for drivers, you can have both!

It's a beauty! My 1st car in 81 was a 72 Maverick. 302, c4. The Z28's and TA's couldn't touch it. My friend had a Chevelle and he couldn't hang either. Sure wish I still had it! Sold it and bought a Fox body. Wish I had that one too!

I have the factory setup on my 390. Clutch driven. I had no shroud when I got the car and it would get pretty hot when idling. Especially if I just came off the hwy. So just wondering if different bases were used when they switched over from Marchal to Lucas. I've seen what most and mine have, the round base about 1.5 inch's tall. But I've also seen the square base that Shelby used. One of you experts please chime in and educate me. Thanks

How much different is Paul's 2nd book compared to his 1st book? I'm always referring to the 2nd book for something, but is there information in the 1st book I'm missing? Is it worth the $100 to own the 1st book?
