    Vin # for Alabama gt/cs

I am the type of buyer that likes original only. If a car has a bunch of bolt on stuff (even if it can be put back to original) I will pass on the car.

    Decent GT/CS

my gut feeling is that car needs more work than what it seems. Crunched cars that were not fixed tells me it was not taken good care of.

    1968 GT/CS (390/4speed) for sale on ebay!

no rust or rot? most likely the rear quarter panels have been replaced because of the early rear side lights on a late build car, could be old rust/rot. what other modifications have been done to the car? traction bars/long rear leaf springs. Is this the car you were wanting $44,000 for?

    Dumb question ?

I don't understand what you are asking. the R in the vin for a R code is the SECOND letter in the vin, not the first.
