    1968 Car Show Judging

I hear you on the displaying of trophies Rob. That is one of my pet peeves at a car show. What you won in the past means nothing at a current show. My other peeve is people who don't raise the hood. It's a car show! We want to see the engine bay!

    1968 Fog Light Confusion!

I didn't mention the Marchals as he was specifically looking at the pedestals. Marchals mounted to the grille bracket.

    1968 Fog Light Confusion!

The first picture has the correct posts for the Lucas lamps. The second picture has the square posts used on Shelby Mustangs. Many cars come with the square ones. Mine did, so I got the correct hardware from Bob Teets.

    1968 Car Show Judging

I do enjoy car shows. Most of the ones I participate in are participants choice. Yes, there are problems with them, but most are casual enough. I used to show my 7-Up Car, and have taken home many trophies with it. When I found my GT/CS, the 7-Up was retired from the shows. Now I take the...

    1968 GT/CS Turned 48 Today

To celebrate, I took it out on the highway to stretch it's legs a bit and then filled up the tank with some nice fresh gas, and now back in the garage.

    1968 pressed into service!

If you had your headlights on and then turned on the heater, the extra draw MAY have contributed to the stalling issue, especially if you have not driven the car for a while and the battery was down a bit. JMHO...

1968 Advice Please - Door Panel Replacement

Thanks Ron, but too late...it's all buttoned up. Quite honestly, I don't think this car EVER spent much if any time parked outside.

    1968 Door Handle Spring

Came back to delete this, but could not find a way. Found the problem...the spring is supposed to have a tag end at each end to lock it in place. The problem door handle spring has one end broken off. Please disregard my question. Thank you.

    1968 Door Handle Spring

While replacing my door panels I noticed that one of the door handles has no spring action when in use. Upon placing them side by side, I could see that the spring on one is actually installed backwards, so that the locking end is not in the correct position to tuck into the handle. Can anyone...

1968 Advice Please - Door Panel Replacement

Came across something that made me do a double-take. When I was cutting the holes in the new panel for the armrest, I laid the new one over the original and marked the extra holes on the back and then proceeded ever so carefully to cut the extra holes. Only when I was putting everything back...

1968 Advice Please - Door Panel Replacement

I am in the process of replacing the door panels. The car has the standard interior, so nothing fancy. Upon removing the window crank I found the original nylon washer still in place between the crank and the panel. I thought that was pretty cool, until I got the panel off. It appears to be...
