    1968 Another GT/CS

Currently I have 168 -68s 101-67s 94 - 66s I think that is a amazingly high percentage of survivors. Just shows how special these cars were then and now. Marty

    1968 "Idle hands...."

I do have a pair of coil lowering springs that I do not need that might improve the ride height and handling.

    1968 "Idle hands...."

I do not think there was any friction left in that engine!!

    1968 "Idle hands...."

Wow I am glad Stephen made it there. It did not sound too bad here. I bet the trip home with a strong motor will be a blast. I am between projects now and miss the Mustang work. I do not mention that I have nothing to do or Tari will get out that honey do list!

    1968 390 FI Heads?

Are you sure he did not say GT heads. They are far more rare than the standard FE heads. Marty

    1968 Stripe location

Here are the dimensions from our 68 unrestored HCS. As I suspected there is quite a bit of variation. The book is pretty close, I just could not use #2 & #3. I found it better just to follow the contour of the fender flare. I'll post a picture out of the book so the diagram can be used to follow...

Make a offer you will not find a better HCS.

    1968 Stripe location

I found some of the diagrams in the book to be inaccurate when I restored our first HCS. I have a unrestored HCS with it's original strips, What measurements are you looking for? I would not be surprised given the assembly line pace that there were small variations in locations. Marty

1968 Were to order parts from

I like NPD for the free shipping on orders of $300 or more plus quick service. I always order their best quality parts and know from experience what parts not to order. A very good smaller vender is Virginia Classic Mustang but they do have better prices but no free shipping. I find it is best...

ADMIN Is it still worth making a wall calendar this year?

There can only be 12 that are voted in. You should go out and get a nice shot of your car and try again. It is really special to be selected so keep trying it is worth it. Marty

    1968 Factory A/C

That is interesting Neil, I have thought about the second line and the heat transfer. Once it is done you may have to wear a sweater when the AC is on! Marty

    1968 Shock color

All four original Ford shocks were semi gloss black. Most small blocks that did not have heavy duty suspension had red paint dabs.

ADMIN Is it still worth making a wall calendar this year?

Dad and I will make one if it is decided we are doing one this year. I hope we do make one, our refrigerator just would not look right with out the GTCS calendar on it. Marty

    1968 Last 650 miles

I am glad you got it fixed. It could have been much worse, if the leak sprayed on the exhaust manifold you could have had one heck of a engine fire. Glad you made it there. Marty
