The car does not have a engine. I am just getting a idea of what date code I will need to look for. The car came with a 289 but I am thinking of finding a 302 close to the built date and putting 289 heads on it. But thats just a idea I know I can not restore the car at this point in my live but...

How far off would you think a production date on the block be off of a car that was built in 5/15/68.

I am looking for a Ivy Gold lower console. I was just wondering how hard they are to restore if I happen to find one. I am more than likely going to MidAmerica Shelby meet in Tulsa they have parts venders so if I ran into what I need just need to know what kind of condition it needs to be in.

If a person was to buy one that needs to be restored I was wondering if there was a company out that would do this? Also how hard is it to fix the console pad ?

My thoughts and prayers go to his family. I was just talking to him in early Feb about the seats he installed and I am visiting that area in July and was going to try to meet up with him. I am deeply sadden on his death.
