    1966-67 HCS Gotta do this

That might change things. I'm not at all sure that I'd want to store a hood on top of a convertible.

    What is this car?

Just did some searching. The Celica is the one that had the Mustang look to it. I still thing the image is a Corolla though.

    What is this car?

I'm pretty sure that is a Toyota Corolla. There was a year that they looked a lot like the Mustang from the rear. They had a fastback roof and the tail lights had a very Mustangish look. I want to say early 70's, but not sure what year.

1968 Rubber hood bumper "jam" nut

My GT/CS came with some parts which the PO had replaced. I just checked the hood bumper nut that he had removed. The nut is a 1/2 inch and has "S" and what looks like "181" stamped into it. He had replaced both bumpers and nuts and I have to assume that they are the originals as the car has...

    1968 Hood lock pins.

Ok, got the tool, took the rings off and put the springs under the lock pins where they are supposed to be. Only problem is the rings now appear to be stretched out so that they do not grip the pin anymore. Do you normally have to replace them? Thank you.

    GT/CS Convertible on Craigslist

Nice looking car, but too bad he didn't go the whole nine yards and install ALL the correct parts. My only objection is that he is not stating that it is a clone.

    1968 Hood lock pins.

Is that a fairly easy to find tool? Looks perfect to spread the clip. Am I correct then, if I get the clip off, and remove the spring, the lock itself will just pull up out of the washer?

    1968 Hood lock pins.

Upon closer examination of the underside of the hood pins, I find that I DO have the clips. The funny thing is, the springs are on the underside of the pins, only held on by the clips. I checked the GT/CS book and now see that the springs should be above the hood. Guess this explains why my...
