    1968 engine rebuild

If I may chime in here, everyone on here has different levels of experience and competence in various aspects of the hobby. I am NO mechanic, but I like to hear the opinions and comments from those on here that are. We all love the GT/CS cars or we would not be here. Let's all just appreciate...

For Sale 68 GT/CS in Hemmings

A lot depends on where you are. In Canada there is a much smaller supply of GT/CS cars to buy from. When you find a really good one, you pretty much have to pay a higher price. Mine is a C code, and it was in exceptional shape when I found it. The seller wanted $29,000 and I got it for...

    1968 Interior Parts Dimensions

I could get you the steering wheel dimensions tomorrow. Right now it's blowing up a storm out there, and I really don't want to go outside to the garage. :scared:

    1968 Coil clamp

Mine is a C code, and that looks like the same coil clamp, at least from what I can see of it.

    1968 All original GTCS

Now I'm feeling inspired as my undercarriage is very oily/dirty but looks very solid. What did you use? Paint thinner and rags?

1968 not in registry...anyone know this car?

My understanding is that it had to be a 4 barrel carb first off before it could be optioned as a GT. C code being a 289 2 barrel didn't qualify for GT status.

    1968 All original GTCS

Dash pads are usually a darker shade of the upholstery colour. For example my interior is Dark Red. The dash pad is a darker shade than the seats.

    1968 C code fuel filter

Sure looks like the one on my GT/CS.

    1968 Waxing

Hey Cool...after you clean the vinyl surfaces of the interior, I highly recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant. It is the very best vinyl/rubber protectant I have found. Really good insurance on your dash pad as well.

    1968 Waxing

Wax will protect the stripes. The big thing is to avoid building it up around the edges of the stripes. What I do is go almost up to the stripe edge but not into it when I apply the wax. When you buff, you will take it to the stripe. Apply just a minimum of wax to the actual stripe. It will...

    1968 Waxing

The PO used a buffer on my GT/CS and left micro-swirls everywhere. I do have a random action polisher, but I prefer to wax by hand. I use Meguiar's products almost exclusively. As noted earlier, the current paint condition will dictate what you need to do. You may need to clay after a good...
