. My Fault and Time to Move On

...Indeed! I will only add that Mike has never lost a friend in me... Now let's (really) "move on".

    . My dissapointment

Thanks for the Shelby '65 -R confirmation Rich and Doug for the read :-) JBART, all is well! "From gavel, to gravel, to Gold..."

    . My dissapointment

...Well, I'm quoting him, but he said it was one of the early '65 (Mustang) Shelbys that were set up specifically for the track and no luxuries. They dolled 'em up a little in '66 apparently, because sales were not as good as they should've been. I am by no means an expert, but it was very...

    . My dissapointment

...For the time being, I suppose... BTW, TJ and I just returned from a swap meet where we brought home a trunk load of Mustang parts. The guy selling is a SAAC member who at one time owned and raced a '65 'R' model as well as restored numerous Shelbys from '65 to '68. He was VERY appreciative...

    . My dissapointment

JBART, I truly respect and appreciate your comments, but PMN running amuck un-questioned makes us look pretty silly as well. I read the posts and don't see where anyone here went over and picked on "poor" Newitt, rather they responded to his usual arrogance when he again tried to corral all of...

    1968 Family visit...

Thank you Rhonda and thanks again to everyone who was able to come. Cory's announcement for a "drive-by" visit and its culmination into this event (on short notice) was beyond inspiring and pure magic! ...but......apparently, the "registrar" over at SAAC didn't see it that way. We can sure...

    1968 Value of a 68 CS/GT

...Looks nice! 'Has the appearance of a GT car, but not with a 289. VIN, door tag and a Marti report should be the next step :-) I like the scoop too, tho it isn't stock...

Renee, I love how you captioned many of your photos to include names. Cory, the "clean up" was no problem. 'Getting enough sleep to function at work today was! I was pretty useless today with my mind totally consumed with the weekend. My gosh!! Your book, The Powells, The long day's...

    1968 Family visit...

....Scott Foote and Chad Godeke brought over their working steam tractor as well as an original cond. 1951 Ford pickup and cherry '65 Ford to compliment the day and the eleven Specials. It was hard to tell which "smoked" more - the tractor or that "bacon" ordeal..... All in all - a truly...

    1968 Family visit...

....After autographs, everyone set about exchanging stories, looking at cars, enjoying refreshments and each other's company before saying "goodbye" to Rob who I took to the airport. The day progressed to a wonderful tri-tip dinner (once the BBQ was restored) and nobody wanted the day to end!

    1968 Family visit...

There has got to be a "next time"! :-) ...After an incredible Saturday night meeting Cory, Trina, Jace and Steve Wick, the stage was set for an outstanding Sunday, though activities had to be early as Rob needed to catch his plane for home at 3 pm from Sacramento. We were up at 7am preparing...

    1968 Family visit...

...We proceeded 10-miles to Colfax along Hwy. 174 to fantastic food (courtesy of the Powells:-) then enjoyed some freeway "formation" to Auburn where we hoped to meet up with Steve "rvrtash" who was due about that time... We missed, and he arrived at the big house shortly after our return...
