I think I will be starting with a S code. If I can find one with a auto and a tach I will be 3/4 of the way there. small block stuff would have to be changed and I would like to have the S code motor as a spare. Of course after yanking the 390 I am sure I would completely detail it as well...

bob perkins is wrong. CS's came with all chrome bezels.

the original bezels were all chrome. Ford stopped making the all chrome ones. Take some acetone and rub the black off. What you have is a Ford part made after they stopped making the all chrome ones. don't worry. the S in the 3rd spot stands for Thunderbird. this link is helpful...

that Cougar sure is nice. I might have choose that car over my tbird if it was around a few months ago. I would have had to add AC.

no motorcycle (but a cool idea) and no Tbird. I am going to build the motor and then find a 68 Mustang of some kind to put it into. I will either make a 68 1/2 CJ clone, Green Hornet clone or maybe put it into a CS. Have not made up my mind other than I want a Cobra Jet 428 motor.

Arlie I have studied that site quite a bit recently with my 428 engine project starting up soon. Going to look at a KR block, crank and rods tomorrow.

I think if it did sell it was not for 275. They probably did a deal outside of Ebay and seller had the buyer hit the buy it now. that is too much $$$ for that car.
