    Correct seatbelt color?

my .02 from what I have read and heard there really was no method to the way they did it. I had a VERY original 68 GT390 coupe that had a original saddle deluxe interior and it had saddle colored belts front and rear with the chrome bezels.

    Correct dash pad or not

I have not painted a DD dash yet but when I bought mine it seemed very "slick". I would highly suggest using a bunch of vinyl prep before painting. they might even have some suggestions on how to prepare before painting. 3-4 thin coats should be good. pictures when completed?

harsh, nope. just honesty. the owner even states it might be on the high side.

    Selling (Reluctantly) 1968 HCS

Steve I completely understand your point of view on rarity. Sometimes rarity does not equal desirable and valuable. In this case it MIGHT. what it all comes down to is what someone is willing to pay for (any) car. Once money not words changes hands for this car then we will know what...

    Correct dash pad or not

also, DD has in one of their ads that the Ford Tooling for 67/8 are coming sometime soon. I have bought one of the current DD dashes and they are NOT like the originals. The grain is deeper.

Gonna buy a mid 60's Thunderbird next week

got the car and it is pretty darn cool. It sure is a boat cmpared to the Mustangs. I will say that it does get up and go once moving, the 390 4V helps. Looks like the previous owner showed it in local shows as the engine is detailed and has all the proper stickers. We took the vlave covers...

    Selling (Reluctantly) 1968 HCS

if your car was not a HCS I would say it is worth 5-6k tops. At 10k you ARE getting a premium (if you can find someone that will pay 10k for it). why not get it running and put a set of cheapie tires on it?

    Wanted Lucas Cover

I am just guessing here but I think the white covers were replacement covers not stock.

    Codes..??

not gonna happen my 390 CS (325 hp) gets 10-11 mpg with highway driving. This car has as much power as you can realistically buy in a CS. A 289/302 (200-225 hp) has fair power and probably gets 15 mpg.

    Interior restoration

I would suggest sending the originals into Mr. G's to have rechromed. Repo bezels cost roughly $50 and Mr. G's costs about $60-70. I know I would rather have a Ford part that has been rechromed compared to a foreign made repro. They can also do the other trim pieces and the chrome part around...

The right way to store a CS

I would think it would not matter. the overall height of both cars is always gonna be the same no matter which one is on top.
