    Happy Birthday Midnight Special!

Thanks Paul, indeed it was thanks to all of you! Before getting together with the rest of the family, my son's & I had the perfect "car day" doing wheel bearings on one and an Autolite 2100 rebuild on another... We then brought most of them out for the bi-weekly "warm-up" and washing. What...

    1968 Cyl head question/engine update

...Yes, and here's the photo you posted earlier Amy of how it looks in there.. If you did manage to free it up and even and start it - your "attention factor" would immediately begin with the huge amounts of smoke coming from the pipes (as the rings eat themselves) followed by loud knocking and...

    2007+ 100 Octane Dyno-tune

Steve, during '78 and '79 and my first S-code, I had a buddy who ran the gas truck at the local airport after school. We would fill up & re-tune (by ear & feel) on Fridays before weekend play. As I remember tho...Didn't Union 76 continue with leaded premium for a few years after most stations?

    1968 Black Hornet

...They've been doing the same thing with certain vintage airplanes as well. You can now buy a brand new (1930s) Waco Bi-plane that you can't tell apart from a pristine original. Shelby's name and the fact that someone can get a brand new GH (or BH) to me is pretty cool. As for our GT/CSs...

    2007+ 100 Octane Dyno-tune

...Indeed, computers take all the fun out of it ;-) With differing fuel grades and the elevation between home and key cruising spots, (30yrs.ago) I always kept the flat screwdriver and 1/2" wrench handy to stop and re-tune my Windsor...

    1968 Black Hornet

...Why not? With the awareness of "Green Hornet" and historical interest sparked - someone can now have a chance to own as close to the real thing. Plus - it's Shelby who is doing it (not one of us) and there is already a full-price bid w/ 7 days to go, so it's obviously lucrative... A few...

    1968 Would you like to own a T-code GT/CS?

...To be fair Bob, mine was pretty tired when I bought it. New top, interior and paint, but the motor & trans had alot of miles! I had to have the 3-speed rebuilt after the first six months and although the engine didn't seem to burn much oil, it did leak it. We traded her VW Rabbit for it at...

1968 October 2008 Muscle Car Enthusiast

Yep! Superb article indeed! Great car and great story. The price she paid seemed to me like a bargain in 2001 for such a high-optioned/ low mileage car. What do you think (or remember)?
