    . Midnight Special gathering?

Tim if you decide to pull the trigger on another family gathering it would be great if it were before or after the Golden Gate MCA National show June 22-24 in Concord CA. We were thinking of trailering our HCS out for it's first national show. I would be great to see everyone while we are there...

    1968 Detailing

Neil, It was too bad you were deducted for doing it right! Too many people think when you become a MCA judge you know everything. When a judge thinks they know everything that realy shows how little they know. We all make mistakes, but when I do I try to learn from it. Marty

    1968 Detailing

Painted is the way to go if you will be driving the car. I am doing a concourse trailered restoration with bare metal finishes protected with some advanced oils. That seems to be the direction the MCA is headed. I must admit I really like the look. Marty

    1968 Detailing

Gary, My HCS was built 7-16-68 and is a C code with a automatic transmission. I had silver paint bands on the rear springs and red and yellow on the coil springs. I have some pictures of these. I have not finished the drive shaft yet but have diped it in Evaporust to remove the rust. Most of the...

    1968 Rear seatbak Gap-osis

You are right, today after getting out a 67 and a 68 seat backs I can see no way that is the problem. Unless it was droped and bent the steel. Both seat backs measured 42 1/4 so no difference there. The only difference in the quarter covers is at the top back the 67 gos under the package tray...

    1968 Interior paint confusion

It is not too early 22B. My son Travis is 6-4 1/2 so we added the 69 backs with headrest to make it more comfortable for him. Not much gets by you Scott! It is not a concours car at all. Marty

    1968 Woodgrain frustration

Hi Neil, Are you winning the battle today? I just declared victory over drivers door window instalation and adjustments. The paint you need is ACE Rust Stop leather brown satin #1197060. I wish I could just give you this can but I think is would cost more to ship than to buy. I did not use much...

    1968 Woodgrain frustration

Neil I just got back from the shop, I got a picture of the HCS panel that I restored. It is still a bit of a tedious job masking off the black indents but that is how ford did it. A Ace brand satin brown spray bomb is close to perfect match to the brown that Ford used. I can get the #s off the...
