. Your thoughts on the new California Special book/registry

Scott, I am so impressed with the depth of your knowledge. I am bit envious of your job. I have only had time to skim partly through the book. I did catch the strut rod and double cut key ones as well. The MCA rules say the master cylinder is semigloss black or natural cast iron and the cap is...

Arlie you are right Robs question certainly deserves to be answered here and that is why I enjoy this site. What I was trying to say is please leave the personal BS out of it. I had a good talk with Midnightspecial yesterday and he enlightened me about some of the things that happened before I...

Ok the dead horse is starting to stink on this site. You guys are the best on this site I know that, so lets get on and above this negativity. There is plenty of that in our lives else where I do not want it in my hobby. Truth never needs to be defended. Curtis can answer Rob's question better...

    1968 Smog Tubes

May be a good starting point needs a lot of little things. I thought the placement of the deluxe disc on the RH dash was odd. Looks like a lot of paint on it at least 2 repaints. Marty

. Your thoughts on the new California Special book/registry

I thougt it was cool that one of the debut cars was found. It is owned by Curtis Kaffer (Mustang Biz). That is who I bought our HCS from, in fact it was sitting right next to our car. I thought about buying it because of the color and all of the options but was a bit more than I wanted to spend...

1968 Need Feedback on Restoration Plans - Be Gentle

There was a resent thread here about the red oxide. There were several differnt shades of it. Can you find a good spot left under your car? San Jose cars did not use black but if you are restomoding the car it does not make any difference. Marty

    Golly!...

All I can say be careful when you modify! You might think it is the coolist in the world but someday when you want to sell it you have to find someone else that thinks it is the coolist in the world. Marty

1968 Is this the correct side view mirror?

I did not mean the first one on ebay but the C7AB-17743-B Ithought it was interesting that it was provided a plastic base so it could be RH or LH mounted. Marty

1968 Is this the correct side view mirror?

Ford had two mirror styles. The first a non remote that was used on both sides. The second a remote model and a RH companion mirror. The RH mirror of either was not a popular option. I have a Ford RH companion Mirror for the HCS same as the ebay mirror. Marty

While there are things to be checked out, you would hard pressed to restore a car to that level for less than 20K. Marty

For Sale EBAY listing - GT/CS CALIFORNIA SPECIAL-ORIGINAL

. Tips, Tricks, and Words of Wisdom

Arlie, I would use a hammer with a backing steel. If the paint chips paint the pinch welds seni gloss black, that is how they came from the factory. Marty

1968 Need Feedback on Restoration Plans - Be Gentle

Cristian, I am very happy with the paint on both their cars and the modifications they they did as well. My older son Travis is 6-5 so we used a 69 seat back with head rests. I wished we would have shortened the seat pedestals to give him a bit more head room. Everything that we did was a bolt...
