It is nice to have one that is not perfect that you can take the wife out to dinner in and enjoy her company and the food with out worrying about the car. Good choice in keeping it orignial there are plenty of good coupes to modify. Marty

    1968 Underside floor question

On a San Jose car I would not deduct if it were any color of red oxite. It it was detailed like one of the other plants that is a different story. Your car was in nice condition to start with. A tip for those wanting to find their correct color, look above the rear axel in the tunnel usualy...

    1968 Underside floor question

Another thing that makes it kind of tricky is that as the paint oxidized the color changes a bit. You are right the first is very pink but the second looks like the brown that is oxidized. Marty

    1968 Underside floor question

You are right about the inconsistancies. but the most common that I have seen is the muddy brown. Most people that ask a question want a singular answer not a range. I have found it best to do a little dective work and in most cases you can find your answer on your own car. And that is the...

    1968 Underside floor question

Well I am one of those MCA clowns a 67-68 gold card gold card judge. I am sorry you may have a bad experance in the past at a MCA event. You must know every judge does not have the same experance. They travel many miles at their own expence and work hard under some tough conditions to judge cars...

For Sale 68 gt/cs ebay white in fl

KW, unless it was a GT as well as a GT-CS and had a J code 4 V 302 or S code 4V 390 it came with a single exhaust. Many owners have added the duels. It would be helpful if you could post the ebay item number. Marty

For Sale Well Restored Red '68 GT/CS

Shock tower caps are the wrong color, wrong clamps on the heater hoses and gas lines, exhaust is wrong. Shocks are wrong. has no jack tabs on the lower control arms and has grease zerts. It is a pretty nice car though. It also has GT cap on a non GT car. Marty

For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

The problem with those torched holes is that cracks often start out of them because it causes a weak spot in the shock tower. Not as much of a problem with a 6 as 390. It is best to weld in a repair but a quick fix if the hole is not too big or slopy is to find a rubber body plug a little larger...

Ralph, That option was called a Convenience Control Panel it encluded a park brake reminder, a seat belt reminder, low fuel reminder and a door agar light that flashed. Our 67 GTA convertible has the option it was a lot of work to make it all operate correctly. There are 6 wiring harness, a...

1968 Are these correct for GT/CS Lucas fog lights?

Thanks that is what I was looking for. Since these were not part of original equiptment I would ask that they would be removed so the fog light assembly could be properly judged. Marty

    1968 Power Steering Control Valve

I have not used their control valve but have used their steering box. It was very good. I do not know if your car is all original or has some mods. If it is the latter I would recomend the Borgensen power steering box conversion. I have a fellow club member that used it and he loves it. I think...

1968 Are these correct for GT/CS Lucas fog lights?

My judging rule is if you do not know for sure you do not deduct for it. Give the car the benefit of the doubt. I also would like to know what is correct. Marty
