    Mexican Shelby...

...'Curious about these photos from the listing... I'm thinking of inquiring further & maybe bidding. It looks very complete for "needing a full restoration". let's indeed see where it goes over the next few days.
  2. Midnight Special

    Mexican Shelby...

...I've heard of these, but have never seen one 'til now. Of interest are some added b&w pictures that show some 67 or 68 Shelby coupes?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-REAL-SHELBY-DE-MEXICO-RARE-1of3-GT-350-COBRA_W0QQitemZ280095592681QQcategoryZ6236QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Newest '68 Bumper Idea

...I guess the Mustang IIs are getting so rare, they're starting to clone THOSE from '68s! Are those driving lights or turn signals in the grille?? 'Could be worse...At least the rear seats have the correct hubcaps.

    Newest '68 Bumper Idea

...That's one of those "jack up the radiator cap and install a new car underneath" numbers... Oh wait!... There's no radiator!! 'Course we could mount li'l fan blades on each of those pulleys and we won't need one. Arlie, what the hell were you searching for that landed this result?!? Those...

    2007 gt/cs striping

Welcome to the both of you! :-) How are we going to know for sure it's a CS if you don't have stripes? I like the lighter black idea. That way it can whisper instead of scream - but at least we'll know it's a CS...

    Restorer's Guide

Thanks Casey! I have another '69 in dire need of that! I have bookmarked and will order the book. Your info here is much appreciated!

    Nani is a Thief

...I think you nailed it, Rhonda! Maybe Arlie can do some "make up" time while he's waiting for his engine to be redone :-)

ADMIN - One of our own has passed away

Paul Newitt had PMed a few of us regarding such a rememberence. Jay's month of May might make for nice time to implement what we can plan appropriately now...

    Wow Steve! I'm so sorry.

ADMIN - One of our own has passed away

...I never spoke with Jason on the phone, but through e-mail and our home (site) here, I was fortunate to have some really nice dialog w/ him culminating in some posters of his car and my purchase of his two immaculate GT/CS front seats. I went out and looked at them last nite....heavy...

    Earliest Mustang Memory

Indeed Marie - I did maintenance and tune-ups on that car about 10 years before your boyfriend had it. NOT...not...NOT...right before the charging system failed and the engine blew! ;-))) Indeed too; it was a very nice car!

    Earliest Mustang Memory

...'Neat Sara :-) Are you asking that others share their earliest memories too? Example: One of mine was gawking at a brand new '68 Highland Green Shelby parked along the road while walking to school as a second grader :-) P.S. I know I had a girlfriend or two who seemed to love my '69 Mach...

    GT/CS display

Rhonda is right, all options for GT/CS are same as ordinary coupes including 428s. "California Special" itself was one of those options and didn't have its own VIN code like Shelby's. The only way to ID one for sure would be a build sheet, dealer window sticker or today's Marti Report...
  14. Midnight Special

    GT/CS display

Yes there is, but mine isn't handy. Someone here will bring you a list... I think that if you display your pictures, your '07 VIN report and the '68 options list - but have all your other data handy in a folder should it come up in conversation with someone who would like to know more...

    GT/CS display

...I have to agree, tho what you have is very impressive! Most people I've seen stroll through car shows seem to view only bold typed pertinent facts. Comparison photos of the same color '68 as yours with concise heritage info is perfect! My $0.02
