For Sale EBAY listing - GT/CS CALIFORNIA SPECIAL-ORIGINAL

Guys all I know is what the wife is saying. I have not been able to communicate with the husband. I am assuming here, that she wrote up the ebay discription on the car as it sounds exactly like the email. What my conclusions here are, at this point are (1) Her husband is a car guy, ie the two...

For Sale EBAY listing - GT/CS CALIFORNIA SPECIAL-ORIGINAL

Thanks guys for your input thus far. Also thanks for pointing out several small things that I missed on my assessment of the car. I would love to do a hands on, to touch and feel the car for imperfections and hidden grimlins that want to rear their ugly heads as soon as the money is exchanged...

For Sale EBAY listing - GT/CS CALIFORNIA SPECIAL-ORIGINAL

The marti report does not mention gt suspension, nor does it mention airconditioning. I agree on the other remarks, this is NOT an original 14k mile car, might be a restored 114k mile car though. It was originally sold to a ford dealer in Reno, Nv. If what was said about the first owner had...

    1968 It's saved....

Well guys Im new to this forum, one month, and none of you really know me. I do have to wholeheartedly agree with Marty. I too have three trailer queens, one is a cal special, and I am more into knowing they are preserved. It is impossible to have a car at the level these cars are and drive...

1968 J code cars and the Marti Report

Thanks Terry. I missed that one, ie Marti report on 'limelyt'. So far the only J code GT optioned confirmed car. The first GT/CS recognition guide (havent read in awhile) it seems like Paul guessed approximately 10% of the total production were true GT cars. If more forum members with J...

1968 J code cars and the Marti Report

Here is a question that I havent found the answer yet in the forums. This may be quite obvious and if so excuse my ignorance....The bulk of 1968 GT/CS cars are 289--C code cars. Any mustang for 1968 (not just cal specials) had to be 302--J code or larger to have the GT equipment group option...
