    1968 It's saved....

I would have to agree with the comment that there needs to be a few preserved for the future generations to see what they were like when they were new. Shown to the masses at the car shows so they can appreciate what a neat idea the CS really was back in the day. I'm just dang glad you guys are...

    1968 It's saved....

Well said!! I haven't driven mine much this past year but it had nothing to do with fear of dirt or scratches, it's already got plenty of those, just busy with other things and had it burried. It's out now and I'm with you!! Drive it like you stole it and have a great day. Or you can put it...

    . GT/CS Sighting!

All this talk about enjoying the car coupled with it being Friday...Heck with it I'm blowing this place I call work. I'm heading home, getting the CS up to the tire shop and getting the front end alligned like I've been procrastinating and I'm going to put some miles on the CS this year, never...

    Rat Rod Project

I think if I could figure out how to get a title for the old Ford out in my flower bed I'd raise it from the dead and give it some new life. That would be a lot of fun for a few years building and then if you can get that kind of money out of it?

Wow that is a first, but I guess if someone looked at it as two additional things you had to do to get the hood open you could potentially see it as a pain?

1968 4 speed toploader = close ratio vs wide ratio

Not sure I even know what the difference is supposed to be but I do know when I drove my brothers new Shelby you didn't have to move the shifter very far to shift gears. Not sure how to explain it but it was unreal. My 62 F100 that I just bought would be the opposite, you could hit the...

Dang it! I'm sure he's keeping up with the thread! On a brighter note, yet on topic for this thread, the sun came out for about an hour today. Should be back to wind, rain/snow by days end however.

1968 Tail light bezels: NOS or reproductions?

No, they were broken and it wasn't all of them, one side had 2-3 broken completely out and the other side had a couple broken but not completely gone.

For Sale 1968 HCS T code for sale or trade

I remember when rear bumpers were an option for pickups, spare tires were also an option for awhile on pickups. You had to pay extra if you wanted them. The bumpers was during a time when everyone was doing aftermarket drop bumpers so they stopped installing them as a part and let you pick what...

1968 Tail light bezels: NOS or reproductions?

I will add that interestingly enough the only thing missing or broken on my car when I bought it in 1983, other than the original wheels and caps was the tail light bezels. Both sides has multiple cross bars broken out, no idea how they got broken as the lenses were still OK?

1968 Tail light bezels: NOS or reproductions?

Sure thing, still leaves the difference between NOS and Repops. My repops are from a long time ago so I can't say that current production repops are the same but I've had no issues with mine, the car is stored inside out of the elements so it doesn't see any harsh environment anymore and I can't...

1968 Tail light bezels: NOS or reproductions?

It's my understanding that there was really no difference in the two other than the T-Bird had a black paint finish around the edges, no idea if during the production of the GT/CS they caputured the part before painting, I would assume so? But maybe they removed the paint (doubtful). Now days I...
