Registry Question for my new book

Thanks Paul. I've been a member of this web site for many many years, my car has been in every registry. I have one of each of your books purchased in advance of printing and spent countless hours watching the mail box for them to show up, especially the first one. I have watched this site...

Registry Question for my new book

So I guess based on that comment I would have to ask what exactly makes a car authentic? If I don't have a Marti report does that make my car NOT AUTHENTIC? :o I think not. ::) A better way to word it might be that all cars given the Marti touch should be earmarked as such. ;) Hook

    Cars in Barns

That is a pretty great place to get lost for a few hours when you have some time to burn. Someone showed it to me a few years back and I frequently go in and cuss all the owners that won't sell as the cars rust away. >:( Hook

Registry Question for my new book

I would have to dissagree, my car has been listed in every registry thus far. Personally I don't have a Marti report, I've known this car it's entire life, I know it's an authentic GT/CS why would I want to spend money on a report to tell me what I already know. If I had the intention to sell...

This Hotwheels '68 Mustang may sell for more than your real one!

Makes hard when you watch your kid open that brand new Hot Wheels and head out to the sandbox doesn't it! I've tried convincing him he should collect them but he'll have none of that. I've bought a few Muscle Machines to collect and I just buy him one too then he can play and I have one on the...

    New Shelby Cobra unveiled

Let's just say I wish I'd lived his life in the fast lane, nothing against the life I'm living but it would sure have been fun to have been Mr. Carol S. Hook

    New Shelby Cobra unveiled

Well said Paul! Now cut and paste it in an email to Mustang Monthly so they can let you say it and not get themselves in any trouble. I agree whole heartedly, a big let down that does not set itself apart from the GT Mustang, I'd be ashamed to have my name on it if I was Carol Shelby. Man I...

    Best Cal Spec Memory

Me and my GT/CS. Almost sounds like a song. First let me say I enjoyed reading everyone else’s stories, some of which even stirred up some memories for my own story telling. I’ve had my GT/CS since I was about 20 and I’m now 42 so we have lots of memories together, we’ve been through both...

    Joining SAAC.

I'd say you certainly understand my feelings Paul, can't speak for anyone else. Short of my own personal enjoyment of owning the GT/CS (read; standing in my garage drooling quite freqently for the past 20+ years) the next and probably the only other interest I would have relating to my GT/CS is...

    True Value of a GT/CS

Based on my comments in the SAAC topic I started asking myself why the emphasis seems to have changed here in the forum so much lately toward the $ value of the GT/CS. It took me back to the days when I purchased my GT/CS in the early 80's. There wasn't a computer in every home in fact I'd...

    Joining SAAC.

I'm the odd ball that voted to have our own club. ::) Living in rural Idaho we really don't have much in the way of clubs, groups, car shows etc. The few shows we do have in Jackson Hole, WY and West Yellowstone, MT are all inclusive, all makes all models. I'll pose an interesting question...

    Stevenson World of Wheels

Congrats on the placement at the show, that's awesome for a first time out with it. I'll be as time goes on you'll know what needs to be where and what needs to be done and as Larry the Cable Guy says, "Get'r Done" I'm sure you will, as it's a beauty. Goes to show how much lack of knowledge...

    '68 HCS on Ebay

I'd be more inclinded to believe they just had a local graphics shop do their best immitation and the shop wanted to impress. They look really nice on the side stripes they just aren't the correct stripes and in the case of the GT/CS-HCS I would say correct for us purists is much more appealing...

    GT/CSs on Ebay

Aren't the plain caps the correct caps on the GT/CS unless it has the GT package included? I'll be the first to agree the GT look much better but I thought the plain caps were the correct caps on a non GT optioned car with Styled Steel. Hook
