    1968 Tail light trouble

Just a thought: The LED bulbs draw a LOT LESS current than the incandescent bulbs. Try removing all the LEDs and put the incandescent type bulbs, and see if/how they work. (I'm suspecting a poor connection either + or - in the sockets. Probably the Ground - side.) This will be an easier test...

1968 The 60th Anniversary is anyone going to the event ?

Oh, I'd love to attend as a spectator, but I'm afraid accommodations would be impossible at this late date. Neil

1968 Left turn signal not working properly

I don't believe sequential Turn Lights are correct for CSs. I purchased Plasma LED's from WCCC as well as the solid state flashers. Their Plasma LEDs are the brightest. Neil

1968 Left turn signal not working properly

For access to the Flashers (Turn Signal + Emerg Flasher) you must remove the Instrument Cluster, and to do that you must first remove the AC/HTR Control Panel. Neil

1968 GT/CS & HCS stripe decal kits? Any favorite vendors?

I utilized the CS Recognition Guide for the measurement & position of the stripes, a laser to make sure everything was level & straight, and Graphic Express procedures (wet) to install the striping & graphics on the side scoops. The trunk was a little tricky due to its curvature. (I botched the...

1968 GT/CS & HCS stripe decal kits? Any favorite vendors?

They were excellent to deal with, but I don't remember the price. I wanted a Gold stripe (not correct for GT/CS but they took care of it for me). A couple of years later I needed just the GT/CS for a side scoop, and he made it for me. Other suppliers will only sell a complete kit. Neil

1968 Checklist for initial start of a rebuilt engine

IIRC, Timing is initially set at 8 - 10 degrees, with NO vacuum to Distributor. Then connect the vacuum to the Diistributor and the timing will then advance to 18 degrees +/-. Neil

1968 Long overdue progress photos from my '68 HCS

Perfecto!! I really enjoyed the photo review. Brought back fond memories of when I was more mobile. One critique: DO NOT USE FRAM OIL FILTERS. They are the absolute worst of all. Neil

Wanted Original driver's side rear end cap needed

Is there some sort of visual difference between original & repo 1/4 extensions? I have a pair of them, but I don't know of their lineage. If you wish, I'll send them to you for your evaluation. If you can use them - fine. If not, just send them back. Neil

    1968 Wiring Data

I've posted this before, but if you missed it, I suggest you copy these pages & save them for reference. These will give you the wire number, color code, and circuit application. Neil

    Wanted '68 S/S wheel hubcaps

Does anyone have a set of non-GT hubcaps for S/S wheels that would trade for a set of GT hubcaps, or perhaps sell? Neil

Wanted Looking to buy California Special emblems

There don't seem to be any new scripts available, and used ones are super scarce. I'm not a fan of repo/tribute projects, but you might try doing your car as a High Country Special instead. They do not require the scripts as used on the GT/CS models. You may have better luck locating the HCS...

It seems as there is No Stock for any Mustang vendor, and no word if they will be reproduced.
