    1968 Vinyl top retainer strip

We've discussed this issue before, but now I have another question. My Red GT/CS was factory equipped with a Black vinyl top. It does not have the retainer strip installed (obviously the vinyl top has been replaced in the last 50 years) but there are no holes in the rain gutter that would have...

For Sale Pebble Beige GT/CS -Painted White C155338

IIRC light colored cars had the pinch weld seam painted black, but I think it was done with a brush- not sprayed on. The Marti shows Power Steering option, but it looks like the P/S has been removed. Neil

    1968 Script

My red GT/CS has the original flat surface script but is pock-marked. Will re-chroming correct this? Also, who would you suggest for re-chroming? (I've had no experience with chrome shops.) Neil

1968 I Know Nothing Should Surprise Me But......

I don't like crushed wires. Sooner or later it will cause a problem. The cover for the T/S harness on the bottom of the column can be tough to find. Neil

1968 How to test Voltage Regulator?

As a rule of thumb, I look for 13.5 volts measured on the Battery Posts with the car running @ idle RPM. Increasing RPM, the voltage should remain @ 13.5V. That's how I test the Voltage Regulator. If you have to replace the Voltage Regulator I HIGHLY recommend a Solid State type. They are more...

    1968 Wiring dilemma

Fixed. The new tail light harness was OK. The old harness had a burned section due to the Tag light wire being shorted to Ground behind the license tag. All Grounds, Lights, and circuits are happy now. Neil

    1968 Wiring dilemma

I'm fighting a wiring dilemma on a '68: Power (12V) for the tail lights is present at the connector at the left side behind the instrument cluster. When I plug in the harness that runs to the trunk, I get 0 Volts at the trunk connector. It's a new harness, and I checked the continuity of the...

    1968 York vs Sanyo

I've done a few conversions to the new type compressor & R-134 freon. I believe them to be more efficient (cooling, quieter, smoother) than the original system. I used the OLD AIR conversion kit, and it was an easy project. Neil

The Jim Osborn diagrams DOES show the C/B. The Scott Drake does not. Thanks to Joe in Crown Point, IN. Neil

    1968 Circuit Breaker

None of my schematics show the Circuit Breaker that is mounted at the Fuse Panel. (I believe it is to protect the current draw for the headlights & Fog Lights.) What am I missing? Anyone have a schematic that shows the Circuit Breaker? Neil

    1968 1968 gt/cs

Although I'm months away from having to make a decision, I'm debating whether to go back with Black or White GT/CS striping. (The Marti Report doesn't stipulate stripe colors.) Short of having a Build Sheet to specify, is there a way of knowing what color stripe was used? The car was built with...
