    Sacramento GT/CS on eBay again

So , what is going on with the sale of CS's. This one stalled at $15K and the red one in Arkansas at $13K. Is this a bad sign? Is it the "C" code, all small blocks, mustangs??!?? These seemed like good quality cars. I know that Camaro's, Chevelle's, Mopar's can not be found for less than...

    emergency brake handle

Timely thread. I am having the same problem. I tried drilling, did not work, I think you need a really good bit! I also took off as much of the plastic handle as possible and tried channel locks. Didn't work either. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated! David

HELP me Identify if this 1968 Mustang is a California Special or a ??

Not sure anyone still cares, but the bottom of the following website lists Mustang build dates (from the scodemustang web site). Seems that the 1st '68 mustangs were built in July 1967. Not a year, but still 6 months early. http://www.scodemustang.com/s_faq.php David

    CS/HCS Wiring Harness

I can not tell you how much mental pain I am in right now. Without going into all the details of my restoration nightmare (I am feeling a little like David A must have over the years...David, you are my inspiration that there might be light at the end of the tunnel), Friday night I fried my...

    water leakage/trunk

Doug and Arlie, I really appreciate you posting these pictures. Still no clue what I will do, but I did like Don's idea of a vacum hose added to the existing weatherstriping when I wash the car. Thanks David

    water leakage/trunk

Arlie, Any chance of posting a picture for me? Is it one hole per side? Don't worry about it if it is too much of a hassle. thanks David

    water leakage/trunk

Has anyone ever drilled holes in the rear quarter wells? I have the same problem and was thinking about trying this. Too chicken so far. Don't want my paint chipping, even if it is under the car. david

    Autolite Battery

For what it is worth, I spoke with someone at NPD today and they said that the one of the reason the company went out of business was that they had problems with the batteries not holding a charge and that the more expensive batteries are higher quality.

1966 Columbine Blue HCS for auction on Ebay

This is the 1st HCS I have seen on ebay in over 6 months. I am sure this has been discussed before, but what is the general thinking on value of a HCS vs GTCS? David

    Autolite Battery

I appreciate the responses. Sole source, controls the supply and price! Does everyone use a sealed battery? Seems like good protection. I have always thought the part that braces the shock towers against the firewall is called an export brace and the bar that bolts between the two shock...

    Autolite Battery

Has anyone had any luck finding repo autolite batteries lately. I am looking for a Group 24 sealed one. The main manufacturer has gone out of business. They were selling for about $150. There is a guy in Ohio that makes them, but he sells them for closer to $250. Also, I am seeing two...

    Deck lid question

Mine is a bit bowed also. I am guessing this is a common issue with the fiberglass. I'd guess that even if you fixed it, it would happen again over time. My trunk lid also has a slight color variation from the rest of the car. Fiberglass vs metal.

Question about Engine stamping and VIN

My 302 does not have a stamp on the pad. The block date is quite a bit earlier than the build date, and it does have the proper 302 casting numbers.

I know that a 428 and 429 are from different engine families, but how easily is it to tell the difference while in a car? Maybe the engine is not a 429??

    Price Guide

Interestingly, the magazine states that certain model/engine combination have been left out due to low production and lack of transaction history to establish a price. I just looked through the last 6 months of Hemmings Motor News and only found 2 68's with a 428. One was a GT fastback asking...
