The standard gas caps are twist-off with a retaining chain. GT's, GT/CS, Shelby's use the spring loaded caps. Various vendors list both types. Neil

The GT/CS gas cap is spring loaded to open, hinged on the bottom. No chain. Neil

To the best of my knowledge, it is not legal to reproduce VIN tags. Production/Data tags are OK, but not VIN tags. Check with your state's DMV. Neil

NC VIN. I have a '68 convertible with a NC VIN due to the dash mounted VIN tag being missing. As the dash tag is the ONLY legal identification, the stamped inner fender panel & door tag numbers are not valid for registration. The DMV Inspector will run those existing numbers thru their computer...

The circuit is looking for a Ground through the sending unit. Either the tank is not Grounded to the frame of the car, or the sending unit is not Grounded to the tank. BOTH MUST BE GROUNDED. Neil

I'm curious about different applications of radiator cooling fans: Direct drive on pulley. Clutch drive functioned on RPM Electric drive functioned on engine temp What experience with various drives, +/- Opinions of each type of drive, +/- And, what about the newer type of aluminum radiators...

Alternate non concourse method: 1.)Just paint the recessed area Black, then install the Argent screen.(The vinyl is superfluous and holds moisture, IMHO) 2.)Use S/M screws to secure the screen instead of pop rivets. (Less chance of cracking, easier to R&R) Neil
