I spoke to a guy from California Mustang and it seems that some older version of this vent frame, pre-2007, might've been a little problematic ... however, since 2007, it seems that there weren't any returns/complaints ...

I just spoke to California Mustang and they claim that there's only one manufacturer of this part and that they sell them to all the other places ... this means that ACP and Dynacorn (Scott Drake, Highway Classics and others) are all the same ... hmmmm

Is there a preferred vendor? Who sells Dynacorn and who sells ACP?

My chrome vent window frames are somewhat pitted, and since my car is getting repainted, I'm trying to decide if I should replace my vent window frames with new ones, or restore (rechrome) my original ones ... have any experience with this? Here's the frame in a MM tech article...

Donna, I'm so sorry to hear of your tragedy ... it really must be hard to believe it's all happening to you ... I'm very glad to see that it looks like it's repairable, and that there's plenty of help being offered here to you ... I hope and pray that the insurance company will be cooperative...
