For Sale 1968 J -code GT/CS in Las Vegas

My taillight panel has the bumps. But, what does one without the bumps mean? AO Smith/Ford service part, or one from a Shelby or a repro?

Looked pretty good until I got to the trunk and under hood pictures.

SOLD NOS Marchal fogs 100% correct

These Marchal's advertised must be for a Shelby? The Marchal's on my car have the mounting studs coming off the rear of the lights that attach to the bracket on the grill.

    For Sale Modified GT/CS

It does look pretty well done and the owner may get his asking price. Just not my cup of tea for a '68 GTCS. A buyer may pay the amount because he/she likes the mods done and does not really care about the provenance of the car.

Wanted 68 console radio pad with convenience group

That one on Just Dashes looks like a nice job was done. I must say that I do not like the all chrome metal insert very much. I like the black camera case finish better. Probably because it is stock and I am a stock kind of guy.

    For Sale Modified GT/CS

Modified '68 GT/CS. At that price, I would rather have a bone stock concours car. In my opinion, the '68 GT/CS was already modified from the factory. Leave well enough alone. If you are going to modify a Mustang this much, why not just start with a plain Jane car. But hey, it is his car...

    1968 low vaccum

I agree. At this point, I would not be worried about the power brakes or an external booster. I would be worried that there could be a flaw in the engine rebuild.

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J -code in WA $$$

Big asking price. Perhaps it is just the photography, but the paint looks a little dicey under the quarter panel scripts close-up shots. The close up of the lights switch shows significant wear. I don't believe the 302s were painted the baby blue color in 1968. The engine compartment does...

Ad says he is asking what he has into it. Doubt that you could bring it to concours trailered level for $60k. If it is really that good, the seller should spend $100 on a 35 picture online ad with one month one picture ad in the publication.

    1968 Marchal lights

Rob, Thanks. I was told in another thread mine could have been a "stage" car. But, I did not see any Sunlit Gold cars in the Paul Newitt book so I sort of discounted it. And yes, my paint code is a Y5 as noted above as it does have the black hood stripes and they are listed on the Marti. Dave
