I've had two C codes now with the basic Pertronix. Both used the stock coil with no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for the followup. I will keep an eye on the lights. If moisture starts getting in, I will look into getting some window putty. :grin:

I have the basic Pertronix. I am using a reproduction yellow top coil and it works great.

Thanks. Is there a problem with the putty being removed? It's not like I will be driving the car in the rain, unless I get caught coming back from a car show. I have lens covers installed as well.

Today I swapped out my "Foreign Glass" lens for one of the "England" lenses from my spare set of lights. When I took the spare apart, I found that the lens was secured to the light housing by a sort of putty. Then when I took the lens off the light on the car, it had a similar putty used on...

Hey Stephen...just don't do what I did. Thought I had a good grip on the clip and it ended up flying to who knows where. I ended up reshaping and reusing the original clips.

Not a bad day today. Waxed the GT/CS this morning. After lunch I took it for a nice run, and just before I left, my Lucas Fog Lamps I won on eBay arrived. When I got back, my 2014 NPD catalog had arrived. A good day in the Mustang world. :cool:

Did Ford use postcards as a promotion for the GT/CS in 68? There is one on eBay, but to me it doesn't quite look "right".
