For Sale 1968 S-code GT Coupe( Not a California Special)

Not sure about the car's shipped north but, the air cleaner bucket isn't right for this car. Valve covers are fine but what happened to the chrome cover and the side air valve on the air cleaner. Don - 68gt390

. GT/CS To Be Auctioned Carson City NV

Found this article on the net and found it very interesting. Not only did this individual have millions of dollars in gold coins but, also had a 1968 GT/CS in garage as well. This gentleman evidently passed away in Jun 2012 and when they went to settle his estate that's when the small fortune...

For Sale Nice 68' California Special

Take a look at the hood - F O R D - on the hood indicates a 67 hood to me. I'd definitely want to see a "Marti Report" on this car. Don - 68gt390

    1968 Marchal or Lucas?

What's up Mike? I found the following post you made back on 7/3/2006 at 01:34am regarding the Marchal lights. Don - 68gt390 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To give you a quick lesson. All GT/CS cars built prior to April 26th, 1968 were...

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on Ebay

When it comes to selling a classic car it's the same old story - everyone wants something for nothing. They want the car but, don't want to pay for what they are getting. You put your sweat and blood into the restoration and someone else figures they can come along and pick it up cheap. In...

For Sale Red '68 GT/CS in Texas

The thing that bothers me are the shackels on the rear leafs. Have never been a big fan of that way to lift the car. Don

    1968 Trunk lid fit

Mine does the same thing on the drivers side. When it rains, I have to run a small piece of vacume tubing inside my regular trunk seal to keep the rain from running over into the trunk area. It's the nature of the beast. I haven't seen a true CS or Shelby yet that doesn't have that problem...

    1968 Deck lid paint

As has been said on this site many times - It's your car build it the way you want it. I've had people criticize me for dropping a 428CJ into my CS. It's not about the awards for me anyhow. I go to have fun. If someone doesn't like what I've done to my car that's their problem not mine...

. Your thoughts on the new California Special book/registry

For those opting to purchase from Branda, I'd do it pretty quick. I talked to them earlier this week and they mentioned they only had a few copies left. Seem to be selling pretty quick. Don

    1968 1968 GT/CS Paul Newitt's book on E-bay

Mine arrived Tuesday. Thank goodness the post office wrapped the box in a plastic bag. It was raining like cat's and dog's. Haven't actually sat down and gone through the entire book but, from what I've seen so far I think Paul did an excellent job. Was well worth the wait. Don

I received several window clings this week from Paul and in the envelope was a printed note that said the book would be out mid November 2010. I am looking forward to seeing it. Don

1968 Two GT/CS on the block at Mecum in May

If memory serves me correctly I think the May auction is in Indy. I may have to drive to Indy for this auction. Besides it would give me an excuse for a road trip outside of Columbus. Don

1968 Tail Light Panel - Fiberglass Repair

Thanks everyone for you input and advice. Jeff: Excellent article for redoing the tail light section. I also passed the article to R. Parker at Boss Car's. I'll be tackeling this project in about 2 weeks. Thanks again everyone. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. Don

1968 Tail Light Panel - Fiberglass Repair

Was wondering if anyone else out there is having or has had the same problem with their tail light panel. The theards (in fiberglass panel) for the screws that hold the tail light bezel to the tail light panel are stripped on 2 of my screws. Any idea of how to repair this area? I've checked...

. 68 GT/CS on the block at Mecum January 2010

Your right on Arlie. It wasn't a CS. Convertible, wrong fog lights. Sombody got taken on that one. What a waste of time. That's what happens when you don't know what your looking at. Like we've always said - MARTI - MARTI - MARTI. I should take mine to Indy this year to Mecum and see what...
