06 California Special??

Today I saw a new Mustang speed by me. The stripe thats normally low was up mid door like the CS. It looked like it ran the whole car like a CS. The car was white with a black stripe. Then in the rear view mirror I caught the rear end and it had the same spoiler as a CS (okay, I'm a newbie and I don't know if 'spoiler' is the right word to describe it) Basically, it was the same rear end of a CS, but the lights were no different than a regular 05 mustang. No trunk stripe either.
Just a customization of a new Mustang?

Sara, probably custom by the owner. Did you notice the plates? California or Manufacturers? Sometimes manufacturers will road test a package to test public opinion. Any decals? Mark.

One other idea, it could be the new "Pony" package with lower door striping and a rear spoiler as optioned on 6 cylinder cars. Maybe one of those for the press pool. Mark.

Hi Mark,

No plates, like a brand new car. I don't know if it had decals, it went by so fast. I almost turned around to follow it. If it is a test of a possible new CS, it wasn't too exciting...

Just checked out the mustang website and what I saw on this car was not any of the options available. The spoiler was different that the one they offer.

Yes, that's it! And the car I saw had the side stripes up high like a CS. I like it better than the optional spoiler it comes with.

That is a good looking spoiler, nice and simple. Now if they could offer something for the tail lights! Mark.
