'06 Mustang "CE" Calif. Edition

I don't think those who bought a Mustang CE feel the need to defend why they bought it. There's a lot of cars out there that have badging and stripes that people seem to like a lot, and they sell at the dealer.

You are right in that we'll never see something to the extent of modification to a Mustang like the GT/CS again, because today it would cost too much per car to do.

Besides, those kind of cars now end up as the Saleens, and Rousch, etc., Mustangs. Outside of existing FORD parts and option groups, there isn't the momentum (and key people like Lee Grey and Iacocca) to do a whole new back end, or Lucas lights, etc.

In any case--I think these cars WILL get some attention, and those who own one will enjoy the attention on the road--especially of they go outside of No. Calif.

Then again--an owner "could" add a blower to that V6 for 300hp, and/or add some more custom accessories....

I am considering getting one of these. My choices are:

Black/red leather 5 speed manual
Tungsten/light charcoal cloth 5 speed maunal (less $ because lacks leather)
red/gray leather 5 speed manual

I have already negotiated the Tungsten one out-the-door for 22,700.00.

Please let me know your opinions.

I think that it's the same one is what was in the commericals about a year ago here.. They were only going to make about 400 of these California Edition Cars.. With special badging and lettering and the stripes...
