A buddy of mine is looking for a 1940 Sedan Deluxe 2 door. Here's the story. His dad has his original car and he was working on restoring it. The dad now has Lou Gerig (sp?) disease and they don't know how long he has. They don't think he will be able to drive for more than another 6 months. My buddy doesn't have time, with winter coming, to finish the car before then, so he wants to buy one that's already fairly well along, but needing body and paint, for $20K or less, a little more if the body work is done and it's burgundy, so he can give it to his dad to enjoy in the time he has left. If anyone knows of one that would work and is within about 500 miles or so of Post Falls, Id., please let me know. It doesn't have to be a deluxe, since he has the chrome and grill, but that's preferable. Thanks.

I am assuming he is looking for a Ford.

If not a Ford, I have a completely finished '48 Chevy 2 door for sale.

Priced low for quick sale. 327 CID engine, 350 tranny. Power steering. Edelbrock valve covers, intake, carb. and air filter with K & N filter element. MSD Blaster coil. New battery and fuel pump. Polished intake and water pump. Billet pulleys. Four wheel drum brakes work great. Chrome true spoke wire wheels with Goodrich P185/70 SR14 in front & P255/70 R15 in rear. This car was built several years ago, but still draws a lot of attention. Black paint with purple flames. I have new rubber running board covers and a set of door seals that have not been installed, but come with the car. Call 503-648-5431 between 9 am & 9 pm only please. Thanks for looking in. Sorry, NO TRADES.

Yep, it's supposed to be a Ford. Sorry, didn't even think. I showed him the one in Hillsboro but haven't seen the other one yet. Thanks for the lead.
