TRUE... but I have noticed a sharp increase in asking prices this year. How much do the greedy car dealers add to the price? Mecum and Barrett-Jackson make about 25% on a car that sells which is ridiculous for a 60 second auction. Does anyone track ask vs selling prices? Non-original modifications like drivetrains, interiors and paint colors reduces the values on most collector cars, and I find it odd that it appears to be a non-issue here.

I think there is a similar pricing strategy similar to real estate, especially here in Florida. Price high and you can always come down. Either way, they are on the market for months and never sell.
