Dont know how many of you make it over to the mustangs68 web site, but there was a recent find of a 1968 newspaper ad for a mustang called the California Mod Mustang from an east coast dealer. Looks like all they did was put the GT/CS stripes on the car, but it does make it look a bit like a CS. Not something a Marti report would show, but interesting. Casey

I heard the Mod Mustangs were some kind of special order cars that went to a Maryland Ford dealer.

I think the dealer probably added on the stripes and vinyl tops. Thats probably all there was to it since the car in the picture looks like a typical 68 with those added on. It would be cool to see one if they exsist.
