Has anyone ever bought and used a quartz conversion kit? if so, was the do-it- yourself easy enough to follow? success? recommendations? or just send clock out for someone else to convert? does quartz movement cause ticking movement on second hand or is it a sweeping movement?

All good questions. Years ago I sent mine out to a guy in Chicago and it came back perfect. I do beleive it's easy enough to do it yourself. The 2nd hand is a sweeping motion on mine. I gotta laugh tho, I find it tough to read the time, and it's probably because of my eyesight. .....they say that's the 1st thing to go ! ha ha.

I've done it and it was very easy. took about an hour and half or so including taking the dash out.

Works great and keeps perfect time.
