Today I picked up my new 08 Shelby GT convertible and left the 07 CS at the dealership as a trade-in. I have enjoyed my time here and have got some great info from the members but the opportunity to own a Shelby was just one I couldn't pass up. So with that I will sign off, but I will continue to check in on everyone to see what is going on with these special cars. Take care to all

Congratulations Jason! Aint nothin' wrong with owning a Shelby, nor is it a reason to say goodbye.

Now if you said you bought a Corvette - we would have no choice but to snipe you!

;-)

The Shelby GT's are WONDERFUL cars. I have '07 #3040. If you ever get the urge to add another Mustang to your herd, it's a lot of fun to have a 1968 too.

They put 26K in the trade, my CS only had 9800 miles on it, bought it new in 2007.
Aeemo I didn't join SAAC, went with Team Shelby, folks there seem to be a little more down to earth. To be honest all the junk that went on between here and the CS part of SAAC kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Decided to stay away from that stuff.

Who are you in Team Shelby?

Here's what a subset from over there was up to on 10th October

Dad, did you buy me another car?

I'm afraid so. I spent a couple of months looking for a black Focus SES 2 door as a daily driver. I was having trouble convincing myself that they weren't really THAT ugly and I needed to get good mileage. I stumbled across this and all thoughts of finally growing up and becoming a responsible adult went right out the window. Here's a link to my Photobucket page. Albums are on the left and you can also check out the progress on my Mach 1. http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff158/rvrtrash/ . Not trying to hijack another thread, but just to show Jason he doesn't have to leave, just because he bought something else.

You'll be very happy with that Shelby GT, I'm certain. And that Mach is a dazzler!

If you are interested in a 1:18 Shelby Collectibles version of the white car, CloseoutDiecast has them listed at a reasonable price. I see the Shelby Store no longer lists the white one.

Thanks. I went to the site you listed and ordered one.

Took my truck in for service on Monday and the dealership still has my 07 CS. If anyone in NC or nearby is interested it's at Green Ford in Greensboro. I don't have any finacial connection to the dealer but it would be nice to see her go to someone who already appreciates the CS.
