I would like to replace the factory headlights with modern H4 (100 watt) headlights. I've heard from people that I need to use a relay harness because the H4 will pull more power then the factory wiring can handle. Has anyone here done this kind of upgrade and what is your opinion of the need for a relay harness? If I go with the relay harness can someone suggest a good harness? As for the headlights themselves can someone suggest a plug and play kit that is a direct replacement for the stock headlights?

Thanks

I highly recommend the Rocketman version.

It is a bit more expensive, but is true plug-and-play and has two separate heavy duty relays. I bought 4 and put them on all the 'Stangs, no problems a few years down the track. All that is visible is one purple wire running off the apron relay hot post, all the rest hides under the front valence.

The NPD looks similar, don't think that one was available, or I missed it, a few years back when I bough the Rocketman parts..
