...Thus the reason I put this in off topic lounge. But you guys are usually great with answers, so I thought I would give it a try on this forum:
I recently added a set 9inch wide wheels on the rear with brand new 275 F1 eagle D3 GS. Fronts are standard 8 inch with same tires except 245's still in pretty good shape.
That is all I have changed, and since have noticed two things:
1. When braking in slow speeds, the car now starts to pull hard to the left OR the right OR not at all. So, is this the older front tires, bad roads in Chicago or traction control?
2. In two cases, I have shifted hard into second to accelerate in a turn (to get out of the way of oncoming traffic). In both cases the engine "bogged" down similar to when traction control comes on in the snow. Frankly, I was sweating it so much to get out of the way, that I didnt see if the light for TC came on.
Last question is what do you guys think of TC - leave it on, or turn it off?
You guys know I am OCD - but in this case, having the engine bogg down when accelerating in a turn can be dangerous. And it had not happened before.
Any wisdom? Casey
