Is that all? We've had over 2' since Saturday. The berms of shoveled snow on the sides of my driveway are as high as my F250 Diesel. First night I get home before dark, I'll take a picture.

It's been nasty here, too. We got over 3" on Sunday, so the west side of the state pretty much shut down on Monday. More of the nasty white stuff forecast for tonight, sigh.

Its just plain nasty cold in Saskatoon. -38C plus a wind chill down to -49C. Not sure what that translates to for you farenheit folks but eitherway its just freakin' cold. This really sucks badly!

We have had rain for the past week. The mountains nearby got snow. The ski resorts liked that. We had three Avalanches in Wrightwood.. Don't hear that very often in Los Angeles County.

This week weather is kinda cold....High is about 55 Low 26...

...Wow Steve! It's no wonder "Joe" moved off to sunny So. California ;-)

I was curious because this particular snow storm was un-expected. I actually started the day driving the CS clone to work, but turned around and got the truck w/ snow falling... By late afternoon - accidents were everywhere, schools closed, trees down, etc...

I went home & decided to take my daughter Katie for a winter driving lesson in the snow. She did perfect! Proper braking, use of gears, turning, avoiding spins... Excellent! After returning home, I went off to check on the other house (where the cars are kept). On a downhill curve (probably going too fast), I slid off the road through a stand of mailboxes & wound up as part of the landscaping in someone's front yard! After offering "amends", I had to return home to tell Katie that her able instructor had screwed up ;-O

Interesting weather folks! Thanks for your replies!
Saskatoon - Ouch!

I don't ski. I tried it once and it wasn't pretty. I would like to try snowmobiling, though. Never done it.

We have places up here that rent out machines and I think even offer guided tours. If you decide you need a weekend away from all that bland weather, let me know and I'll get something set up for you. I sold mine a few years ago, but wouldn't mind renting one and going out again.

Dad.

You got it. I probably won't make it this year, but maybe next year. I have to go see my father-in-law in Moses Lake, WA anyway. You aren't that far away.

Only about a hundred miles. Just remember, if you're up here in July, rafting is available REAL CHEAP!

I went skiing again today (GREAT POWDER) so didn't take any pictures, but yesterday I helped a buddy shovel 4 1/2 feet of snow off his roof and I just heard on the news we've had 122" so far this season, and it's going to snow more this week. Thought you'd like an update.

Thanks Steve, looks like you're going to be getting what we just had. We were on the southern flank of it tho... 'Lots of wet snow and heavy rain as the snow line was right on us. While I don't forsee wrecking mailboxes in the next few days - I do see getting new tires & wiper blades for the truck.

As for you; Time to call Joe & Marion home to help out w/ the shoveling!
