Below is an email that I received from one of the Knott's organizers.

Cheers!

Ron

Hope you guys make it to the knott's show, where the GTCS is being honored in front of 2000 Ford owners (over 1000 will be Mustangs) and 50,000 spectators.

Here is the tip to get to park together:
1) Make sure all are pre-registered soon. It will be sold out soon. Even if it is not sold out, there is no day of show entries. Last year, Parnelli Jones was turned away driving in (we got him in) but the gatekeepers are strict.
2) get in line together, drive in together, park together. You all should be registered in the 1967-1968 Coupe, Class39. Some GTCSers have told me that they are 'Signature Cars'. A GTCS is and never will be a signature car. No one signed it (ie Shelby, Roush, Saleen. McClaren, etc).

Not being so bright or really thinking I originally registered in the 59 group after reading some previous comments on this site. And than after reading some more comments on this site, I contacted the Ford Forever Group and they were able to change it to the correction of 39.

Hope that this helps – you don’t have to be stuck in the wrong area.

The problem with this answer is that it still doesn't address the 07-08 cars. I haven't registered my car at Knott's yet and I'm thinking I'll probably be taking my 65 convertible instead of my GT/CS, since our "real" celebration will be at Galpin's the day before.

I assume that we will assemble as we have in the past...at the Starbucks parking lot and then drive in together. This is news to me that the GT/CS is being honored this year!
