I would like to add a monte carlo bar on my mustang but the A/C and distributor are in the way.
So, I'm considering just putting an aftermarket export brace(considering one from Total Control). Should this be enough for reducing flexing in the front?
I have a 302 producing about 385HP at the flywheel and I don't intend to race the car.

Monte Carlo Bar

I installed an export brace AND a Monte Carlo Bar on a '68, 289 car. I used the Monte Carlo Bar that has a curve in the middle, clearing the distributor. I'm intending to do the same on my 302 C/S.
Hope this helps.

I bought a curved monte carlo bar and it does clear the distributor, but not the a/c unit which is why I'm thinking of getting a strong export brace. I just don't know if it will be strong enough without a monte carlo bar.

Except for the semi permanancy of sub frame connectors, I think they are the best bang for the buck.
