okay guys just finished the dash...i installed a new dash pad..dash panels and a new in dash tach....oh and the steering wheel inserts with wood grain...please comment:smile:
PS....it was my first time doing anything like this:cheesy:

Nice look...I dig the wood dash inserts, especially on the steering wheel. I did the same thing on my cs last year minus the tach. It was a enjoyable project. Didnt know the wheel inserts could be done like yers...I went with a whole new wood grain steering wheel assembly. BUT YAH NICE TOUCH MAN. good lookin job.

On your steering wheel pad, is the trim around the pad grey or chrome? I am considering using the running horse and pad bezels that you have, but wondering how they would look on my wheel with the outside trim grey.

steve i took some silver paint to do the bezel....but it started to flake off...it was chrome...

Thanks. I wondered if the outside of the pad bezel was 'chrome' when the cars were built, but turned to grey as did the dash bezels over the years. I'm still on the fence over replacing the round buttons and running horse bezel, Not sure how it would look with the grey on the horn pad.

mine came out pretty good.....i,m glad i replaced them:smile:

The outer pad ring is available from NPD, P/N 30752-1A, $23.65. It compliments the center buttons very nicely.

I like that!! :grin: I have the 2014 catalog, but the part I see is Plate, Horn Panel Backing and the number is 3D752-1A on page 105. Is that the correct part?

Figured that was it. No worries...my 62 year old eyeballs have the same issue.

I see the same part is in the Scott Drake catalogue. Is the one NPD sells a Scott Drake piece?
