Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made last weekend the success that it was.

Beau and his staff were fantastic!!!

Our M.C. Casey is a real professional and class act!

Our organizer Paul Newitt did a first class job and his Iacocca award was well deserved!

A special thanks to all of the car owners who drove what they owned. We had concourse cars and we had driver cars and then there was the project cars, they were my favorite.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it at the start of the week. I was in the emergency room having my heart shocked back into normal rhythm. By Friday there was no way that I wasn't going. After all I had tee shirts and caps to sell.

Thanks to all that bought the shirts and caps!

I have included pictures of both Galpin and Knott's.

Cheers,

Ron

Thanks, Ron for the great words and pictures!

I really am sorry about your heart procedure. I hope that you're OK now.

I sure liked the events--and I didn't want them to stop! But, you know, we're going to do a lot more of them...

Thank you so much for doing the shirts and hats. Everyone loved them!! (and for those who didn't get one, be sure to order one from Ron ASAP).

Take care of yourself!

Paul.

Hay I saw you took a picture of the new generation white GT/CS and has California Special on the rear panal of his car, was you able to find out how they was able to do this, as I want so much to add this to mine, hoping to get the word Mustang emblem on front panals of mine like the 68's, I mean just behind the front wheel like the 68's. I love all the pictures and whished I could have attened, but not good timing for me.Hay would like a picure of the t-shirts. It looks like a success and I know there was a lot of hard work in doing so.

I'm considering making the same script--but about half the size for the late model owners. Self-adhesive type of emblems. Not sure yet about the material.

Another item that Ron can carry in his GT/CS-Specific Business.

Granny,

I didn't talk to the owner of that beautiful white CS, but I looked at the script and it looked like it was glued to the body. The owner must have cut the pins off and then glued the emblems on. It looks fantastic and I like your idea of using the mustang script also. Below is a picture of the back of the tee shirt with a smaller version on the front left chest. The other photo is the cap that was done for the anniversary event.

Cheers,

Ron

I wanted to thank everyone for the great time I had at Galpin and at Knotts. Even being an ex-owner I felt welcomed-what a great group of people you are. I want to pass on thanks and congrats to Paul for his award, Casey, Ron, Nate, Bill, Shane, and Ernie. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to met everyone that normally posts here on this site-hopefully at #45! It was great to see Bill again since he assisted me with great knowledge on my Cal Spc that I bought out of Seattle back in the day. I got to drive up the PCH, Mulholland Drive, and Laurel Canyon Drive stretching my Hertz rental mustang to see what it could do. I was lucky enough to see the traffic jams from the opposite direction-lucky me! Driving through these roads, I spied a '73 yellow convertible, '67 black fastback, and red fox body(I'm not up on those years so much). Knotts was a great Ford show with many new model mustangs all over, but it was the T's, Pinto's(don't see any in Minnesota), Cougars, Capris and other onesies we don't see here in the Midwest that brought back great memories. Before Knotts, I met one of my ex-running club members at the Hermosa Beach 5k. It was beautful way to start off a great morning. It was real nice running along the beach and out on the pier and just relaxing afterwards before coming to Knotts. We also met and ran a couple of days out in Venice, which brought back memories of the '84 LA Olympic trials we attended to watch a couple of our roommates run. Before I departed, Ron and Nate suggested a Tommy Burger from down the road of Galpins. I did endulge in the cheesburger combo with chili cheese fries. Better than In/Out Burger. Amazing what a week matters in your life. Got up this morning to meet my running group for a 5k race and we were greeted with 3/4" of snow on the ground and 30 degree temps. WOW!!! Contacted Curt last night in reference to one of Ernie Gonzalez's cars. Hopefully, again I'll own a Cal SPC. Even though the weather here sucks, it gave me a warm feeling of the experience of last weekend. Thanks again.
