1968 Wheel Choices

Here are photos of chrome styled steel wheels, magnum 500s, and 10-spokes. All on the same car. Just for comparison purposes. I may edit out the white letters and add a fourth option.

No. I bought the car with the styled steel wheels, then I sold them to someone and had no tires and wheels so I used the Magnums off the red car and ordered the 10-spokes. It now has the 10-spokes and the Magnums are back on the red car. I just thought at some point down the road someone will ask about wheel choices and we’ll have a thread for them.

Legendary Motors or Drake Industries?

I used Legendary on my Black GT/CS.
WCCC carries them. $220+/-. Call them to verify shipping cost (if any).
Also CJ Mustang carries them and you can order tires with them.
They are all 15" wheels with the correct offset.

IIRC, Legendary does list 16" 10 spoke wheels also.

I think they are too wide for my taste.
Nope, There’s 15x7 and 17x7, but no 16x7 that I can find.

I would warn anyone that changing to large diameter wheels with low profile wheel will greatly reduce the ride quality of early cars. The taller side wall works with the suspension to smooth the ride. Newer cars have a very sophisticated suspension to smooth the ride.

I used F70/215/15 on my Shelby 10 spokes. Worked well.
