My HCS has Ford tips on it. I found what was left of the part # and the Ford stamp. They appear to be chrome plated steel not the stainless steel like all the reproductions. Can someone tell me if the chrome is correct? If they were chrome I will have these replated. Help Jeff S. or Scott F. Martyl

Marty;
If you're referring to the GT tips, NPD lists them as "concourse approved", and I believe them to be stainless.

Marty,

The original tips for your car were chrome plated. If you can save them and have them replated that is the best way to go. The reproductions are poor quality and getting worse with every new run that is made.

Thanks Scott,
Thats is what I thought but it is good to have your conformation. I have not seen too many orginals. I am suprised you are not making them yet. You always have the good stuff. Marty
