1968 Very weird issue - odometer ten-thousand's digit is spinning!

OK, this is a new one for me, but my odometer is acting strange. Does anyone have an idea what's going on? The far left digit (wheel) of the odometer is turning at about the same rate as the far right digit (wheel). The photos below were all taken within about 1/2 mile of each other (left photo...

1968 Power Steering control valve leaking after rebuild

The issue is that it isn't leaking from any of the line fittings. It seems to be leaking from the valve housing, into where the ball stud goes, which shouldn't see any PS fluid if everything is sealed up as it should be. Thanks for the suggestion Marty. I've seen his name mentioned a few times...

1968 Power Steering control valve leaking after rebuild

I rebuilt my factory power steering control valve over the weekend and thought it went pretty well. All was straight forward with the rebuild, but I screwed up when reinstalling the two short hoses connecting the control valve and the slave cylinder. (I know, I know. I swear I looked at my...

ADMIN Scheduled Maintenance - server upgrade

The site is moving to a new server, so please expect some downtime as the very large database gets transferred over. I thought it was going to happen later this week, but now it could be as early as late tonight. As I find out more I'll update this thread.

1968 Brakes pull hard to the right - front power discs, rear drums

Well, it wasn't the strut rod bushings. :( I replaced those last night (way, WAY more than a 20 min job!) and went out late for a hopeful test drive. But no luck. Same problem. Having my power steering work again definitely makes the braking problem easier to manage. If I brake like normal and...

1968 Brakes pull hard to the right - front power discs, rear drums

Thanks. Steve. I just went out and checked and the bushings are very hard and I can wiggle both strut rods by hand, so that's not good. I already have new strut rod bushings in the garage, so replacing them is my next step. Should be a quick 20 minute task (of course I just jinxed myself by...

1968 Brakes pull hard to the right - front power discs, rear drums

I cleaned up the oil on the right rear drum/shoes and did a bit of test driving last night. Still the same issue (I didn't really expect cleaning off the little bit of oil to actually fix anything) I was on the same page as you Marty and did some skid tests, but it was dark and I was alone, so...
